The Great Beginnings of Motorsports

The beginning of motor sports culture was embraced by many people specifically when the first race event happened in the 18th century in Paris. Auto racing started when the first gasoline fueled automobiles were successfully invented. The world's first motor race is known as Paris-Rouen that was organized in the second quarter of 1894. According to some racing historians, the first motor competition is called the Paris-Bordeaux-Paris in 1895. The winner successfully completed the entire course with his 1205cc model. In the United States, the so-called Thanksgiving Day Chicago Times-Herald race was the first motor competition held in 1895.

The New York USA race to Paris (1908) was considered to be the longest motor racing participated by different countries such as Germany, Italy, France and the US. Amazingly, a winner was declared only after 169 days of racing, which was very phenomenal at that time. The first deliberately racing circuit built for the purpose is the famous Milwaukee Mile. It was the beginning of auto racing track created in the early 19th century. When we look deeper at the history, the first intention built speed motor racing setting was opened in England specifically at Brooklands in Surrey. Unfortunately, it was destroyed during the second war of the world and was never been reopened after that.

There are so many transformations that had happened between the years of 1910 to 1950s wherein high-priced road cars were introduced by amazing car racers. In 1949, the first NASCAR "Strictly Stock" race was held at Charlotte Speedway. Motorcycle racing was introduced and played in the last quarter of 1895. It is also called Motor or bike racing with various major genres such as track racing, open courses, road racing and off road racing. The motorcycle Grand Prix is the premier racing and it is divided into 3 classes, which are known as the Moto2, MotoGP and 125cc. One of the most famous categories of road racing is called the superbike racing. They use a modified production motorcycles and have four stroke engines.

Year after year, the beginning of motor sports era emerged after the second war. Today, there are so many categories and forms of racing that people are doing across all countries. It is indeed a great sport that extremely affects the lives of many individuals.
